We enjoyed our stay at the Morena Resort. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and fairly spacious. The restaurants had good food and most of the waiters were very friendly. It was great having a choice of three swimming pools. They use salt water instead of chemicals, which makes the swim more pleasant. There are plenty of trees and the birds are plentiful, including some green parrots. The only negatives were that besides the nearby beach that has around 7 restaurants and a few shops, the location is far away from any other activities, requiring taxi rides to anywhere else you want to go, although this did keep the beach from being overcrowded. Additionally, they only have soap in the shower room, not any in the bathroom (bathroom is separate from the showers), so you have to buy your own soap at the nearby grocery store. The beds were a bit odd. Each bedroom had two slim mattresses put together to make an almost queen-sized bed, but each night the mattresses spread apart, and I always ended up between them directly on the support part -- which wasn't too uncomfortable, just annoying.

Een fantastische plek, prachtig resort. Mooie zwembaden, en Villa Azul heeftzo veel ruimte binnen én buiten. De veranda is een enorm pluspunt. Receptie is servicegericht. Ik was gevallen op het strand en had een paar dagen krukken nodig. Die hadden ze dus gewoon bij de receptie en kon ik kosteloos lenen. Enige (klein en zeker niet onoverkomelijk) minpuntje: We hebben 1 keer het ontbijtbuffet gedaan. Was ik niet van onder de indruk. Weinig keuze en niet automatisch bijgevuld. We hebben daarom de rest van de week ontbeten bij Koko's. Twee keer gedineerd. Prima!

Super fijn resort ,wij verbleven in villa Azul. Zeer aangenaam resort met een uitstekend ontbijt, fijne zwembaden en top lacatie. Dichtbij het strand. Strandlakens elke dag gratis omwisselen. Gebruik van WhatsApp om snel contact te krijgen met de receptie en al je vragen worden snel beantwoord. Prima WiFi op het resort.

Beautiful resort with very nice swimming pools. So many birds flying around. Diner at the Fuego restaurant was very good. Beds felt firm. Pain in our hips every night. Shower head was very dirty. Noisy sound from the road nearby when you're in your own appartment. There are no windows in the living room but shutters.. so the airconditioning is only in the bedrooms. In every appartment is a different amount of kitchen ware.
